AbbeyHine prefer two basic digital ways to receive artwork. As a high resolution PDF with bleeds & embedded fonts or everything collected together (usually a QuarkXpress, Adobe InDesign or Illustrator document with images and fonts).
Collecting Artwork
This is becoming a less used method. Basically, it means everything collected together - a QuarkXpress, Adobe InDesign or Illustrator document with images and fonts. Please check with us the
compatibility software version you are using. We are more than happy to advise you what version the software can be saved in. This is to help eradicate any problems further down the line in
production.
High resolution PDFs
Portable Document Format or PDF's, is an open file format created by Adobe Systems, encapsulating a composite description of a document that
includes the text, fonts, images, and vector graphics.
The advantages of high res PDFs are
• Only one file
• Its small size
There shouldn’t be any problems with fonts not loading or images going missing as they are embedded into the PDF.
FTP is our preferred method of receiving large files. Although we are more than happy to accept CD's and memory sticks.
To upload to our FTP site please see the below instructions here
